I usually prefer a strong cup of black tea or Japanese green tea, which is why I typically march right past any herbal teas at the grocery store. But after taking a chance on Teeccino’s exotically named Chaga Achwagandha Herbal Mushroom tea, my Earl Grey and matcha tea world was turned upside down.

After accidentally discovering and obsessively drinking this mushroom tea for a week, I wrote this Teeccino review to share my genuine joy.

Why I support this tea company

It all starts with the brand. Despite Teeccino’s chic name worthy of a trendy downtown coffee shop, their story is one that checks all my value-driven consumer boxes. I was sold.

✅ Fair trade, empowering global rural communities

✅ Organically sourced ingredients

✅ Supporting environmental and social causes

🎉 Exotic ingredients with incredible health benefits

Teeccino’s full story is definitely worth the read.

Where to buy Teeccino

I found Teeccino’s tea at a local grocery store called Sprouts, although the selection was a bit limited. For a full list of teas and other products (like coffee that isn’t actually coffee), I’d suggest buying directly from Teeccino’s online shop.

Heath benefits and ingredients

So, what exactly is this exciting combination of words that most have never heard of?

Chaga mushrooms support the body’s response to inflammation, has a high antioxidant content, and is believed to improve endurance. The chaga mushroom is what gives this herbal tea its earthy, coffee-like taste.

Ashwagandha is described on Teeccino’s site as “India’s Ayurvedic tonic used for rejuvenation” and it also decreases stress levels.

These two healthful ingredients combined with a host of other herbs like chicory root and ramón seed make for a delightful earthy blend with tons of health benefits. Even though it’s naturally decaffeinated, Teeccino’s Chaga Ashwagandha tea still gives a wonderful energy boost. And this Butterscotch Cream variety truly does taste like butterscotch cream, which I was honestly pleasantly surprised to find.

What does chaga ashwagandha tea taste like?

Very earthy! Initially, I had no idea what to expect of this tea’s taste other than perhaps a bitter dirt flavor (not a mushroom fan). But BOY was I wrong. I am by no means a coffee person, yet even the very distinct coffee-like taste was delicious and comforting. With a splash of milk, the butterscotch cream really came out and brought it all together into a tasty, warming beverage.
